The new methodology is designed to restore coastal wetlands along the Gulf of Mexico, which have been significantly damaged by Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustav and Isaac. It will enable landowners to calculate the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to be absorbed by the restoration of the Mississippi Delta wetlands.
